Metamorphosis
To demonstrate the studio’s unique and modern approach to the endangered crafts of marbling and wallpaper making, panels of hand printed wallpapers have been brought to life as a series of oversized paper garments.
The three-dimensional pieces consist of a kimono, an oversized tie & oversized fan. Each item was cut from a traditional pattern, then virtuosically tailored by hand.
The resulting pieces are innovative creations that sit somewhere between installation, fashion & interiors.
